Old News . . . what’s been happening ~ We’ve been keeping busy with our tour schedule and God has been blessing us beyond imagination! With the release of our new record, being able to share the continuing stories and the message of this music has been a most rewarding journey. We get so many encouraging emails about how God has used this ministry and we are so thankful to Him for giving us this opportunity to share His message of healing, hope and love with others. I told CD Baby (www.cdbaby.com) that “…The goal of this project wasn’t to sell a million copies of this album, but rather to point people to the cross.” The cross is where every Christian’s journey begins and we love being able to help someone live the life that God has called them to. It’s an honor and privilege to be able to minister and we are loving every minute! We also love every email that y’all send us too so thanks so much! If you would like to read a few lines of the emails that have been such an encouragement to us, check out the What People Are Saying About Eternity Focus link on our website.

Going Deeper. . . into our personal lives ~ The biggest change that has taken place in our house would be that Lainika now has her Driver’s License. Watch the streets, no one is safe! Just kidding Lainie! Actually, growing up in rural America does have its advantages, one of which is learning to drive around on the farm. We’ve all been driving since before we should have been and the experience is a good thing to have. (We are in NO WAY encouraging you to drive before you are legally able.) So, Lainika is now officially able to drive and don’t worry, she’s doing great. Alika is still the worst driver in the family. She’s very easily distracted if you can imagine that. Janika and Lainika have been keeping busy with their school work. It’s so nice to be able to take it on the road. Homeschooling is a definite plus! Danika and Alika have been keeping busy with work and work. Alika is in charge of all the paperwork, scheduling, ect… for Eternity Focus and Danika is now the manager of all merchandise. She’s been keeping super busy since we’ve been selling out of t-shirts. Organization isn’t her favorite thing but she’s doing a great job! We are all still babysitting everyday and cleaning houses. This fall has also rekindled our love of sports. We’ve had a fantastic time watching our cousin’s use there talents as they play. Jihan and Taylor’s team almost made it to state and had an outstanding winning volleyball season. Their brother, Tate, is a freshman at Sterling College this year and we’ve absolutely loved watching him play outside linebacker and on special teams with the Warrior’s Football Team. Our parents have been keeping busy keeping track of us and maintaining their own crazy schedules. Life is full, fun and most of the time fabulous and we’re loving every moment of it. It’s flying by and makes me think of Joy William’s song Every Moment… Don’t let go, Hold onto every moment that you can…

Focusing on Eternity . . . devotional ~ My new favorite song is One Life by 33Miles. If you haven’t heard this song, you haven’t yet lived! The message of this music and the life in these lyrics will grab you from the get go (not to mention the fact that these guys have a three part harmony that will steal your breath away). The chorus of this song gets me every time… You only get just one time around, You only get one shot at this, One chance to find out the one thing that you don’t want to miss, In the end when it’s all said and done you find out if it was enough, this one ride, one try, one life to live… WOW! I wish I wrote that song. It’s so true, we only have this one chance, one life to live. What are we doing with the time we’ve been given? What kind of memories are we making? Are we making every moment matter? Are we making every mile count? If every year of our life equals one mile in our life’s journey, what kind of ride has your life been so far? We all often times think that we are entitled to a good time, an easy ride and an adventure full of fun. However, if we look to our living example, Jesus Christ, we find that His life was made up of anything but perfect circumstances. Jesus’ life on this earth was filled with pain, pitfalls, popularity, poverty, potential and purpose. It wasn’t easy, but in the 33 years that he lived on this earth, his life’s journey totally redefined history. He knew that He only had one shot at this. His one chance to find out the one thing that He didn’t want to miss. (Do you realize that you were the one thing that He didn’t want to miss?) In the end when it’s all said and done He’ll find out if it was enough. His one ride, one try, one life to live. We all have a life journey to travel, let’s follow Jesus’ example and make every mile count.
