Thank you so much for praying for mom and our family over this last weekend! She is doing much better and we’re all back home in Kansas! Looking back over the last few days, we can see God’s hand guiding us through it all. Saturday we were in the ER with mom finding blood clots in her lungs and legs. On Monday she had surgery to put in a filter to keep the clots in her legs from getting to her heart. On Tuesday afternoon we were headed back to Kansas! We’re working on regulating her meds right now. The doctors said that mom will need to be on blood thinner for several months to break up the clots in her lungs and legs. (It will take at least two months for them to completely dissolve.) She’s feeling much better than she was earlier but she’s still definitely not 100%. They say that the first week home will be really rough and that is proving to be true. Please keep praying, knowing that your prayers are doing more good than any of us will ever see this side of heaven. You all are so wonderful and we have loved having you all be a part of our lives. Thanks again and have a wonderful Thanksgiving! We know that we have more to be thankful for than we usually take the time to realize… Thank you Jesus for the gift of family and life!
