When we were in Oregon and Washington last month we visited Crystal Peaks Youth Ranch in Bend, OR. We first heard about CPYR when listening to Focus on the Family’s radio broadcast. Crystal Peaks was built by Troy and Kim Meeder. CPYR is a nonprofit organization that rescues abused horses and pairs them with disadvantaged children in a setting of safety, healing and hope.
God has blessed Troy and Kim’s efforts and the stories of transformation are amazing! Check out Crystal Peaks website www.crystalpeaksyouthranch.org for more information. While you’re on the site buy the books (Hope Rising, Bridge Called Hope, Blind Hope and Average Joe) that illustrate the amazing work that God has done in this ministry written by Kim and Troy. These life changing stories will inspire and encourage you. We loved “meeting” some of our favorite “characters”. Pictured is “Little Bear” who was attacked by a bear as a young colt. Kim and Troy rescued him and the story of his survival and the way he has helped those who work with him are amazing! Check out Crystal Peaks Youth Ranch for yourself and stop by if you’re ever in the Bend, OR area.
